Looking After Your Skin - Naturally

Home-produced skin care products are more economical – and risk-free – in comparison to those bought over-the-counter. This is because they don’t have any of those coarse ingredients that may aggravate very sensitive skin. Nature makes available all the minerals, vitamins, and nutrients required by your skin to make it appear more healthy and young than it ever did. Yogurt is an excellent cure for treating acne. Being a natural moisturizer, it provides essential enzymes such as oils and lactic acid to the skin. Applying yogurt to moisturize the skin can also assist in decreasing the size of the pores (and acne), enhance the overall texture of the skin, and lend a radiant tone to your skin. Smear plain yogurt to scrubbed, dry skin. It is full of zinc, which assists in checking acne from developing. Once pimples surface, a blend of plain yogurt and brewer’s yeast smeared on the skin can assist in doing away with the unpleasant eruption.
When you cleanse your face, clean, warm water will do the job. Cleansers and soaps can leave the skin dry, leading to an even larger eruption. Do not scrub dry your face. Always cleanse lightly. This way, the natural oils of the skin are not lost.
Treating Oily Skin
Apply peppermint to dissolve surplus oils on your skin and cleanse the pores. Blend 1 tbsp. milk, 3 tbs. water, 2 tbs. Kaolin, and a drop of peppermint oil, into a smooth mixture. Smear mask to the face until it sets. Peel, and cleanse surplus mask off with clean water.
A blend of lemon juice, honey, and oatmeal is another oily skin remedy. Combine into a mixture and let it remain on the face for about 10 to 15 minutes to get a revitalizing, fresh feel and look to the skin.
Treating Dry Skin
A blend of honey and bananas (1 tsp. honey to 1 small banana) is a great dry skin remedy. Full of vitamins, hydrating minerals, and other essential nutrients, this mixture is both an invigorating and delicious facial. Put on skin for about 15 minutes, rinsing off with fresh water.
Whatever your skin type – oily, dry, or normal skin, ensuring your face is free of oily substances can assist in keeping acne under check without spending a considerable amount on the over-the-counter treatments. Do not use any skin-care-concoctions, (including creams, make-up, moisturizers, and masks) having oil-based ingredients like isopropyl myristate, lanolin, red dyes, and sodium lauryl sulfate. They are very heavy for the skin, frequently being more harmful than beneficial.
Taking excellent care of the skin need not be difficult – or costly. Actually, it can be just as simple as washing it every night with clean water and smearing it with a couple of home-produced blends from ingredients got from your refrigerator.
